Bring the much-loved flavours and family history of The Road From Karachi into your own kitchen with this special cookbook.
Originally created by my mother and father in the 1980's under the title Indian Cookery Made Easy, the cookbook became a treasured part of our family story. Almost 30 years later, it was lovingly re-created as The Road From Karachi, bringing those much-loved Indian and Pakistani recipes to a new generation.
The story of the original cookbook took an exciting turn in 2026, when our precious original copy was carefully repaired and restored on the BBC's The Repair Shop. The restoration helped preserve not only a much-loved family cookbook, but a piece of our family's history and the inspiration behind The Road From Karachi today.
Inside, you'll find delicious Indian and Pakistani recipes designed to make authentic home cooking accessible, enjoyable and full of flavour, along with inspiration, tips and ideas to help you get the most from your cooking.
